Guiding

Education

The Jewish Community Museum offers a wide selection of educational activities. Guiding services for our permanent and special exhibitions can be modified to match the educational needs and profile of each visiting group. We welcome numerous specialized study groups, civic associations and Jewish congregations at our museum, and can provide special lecturers for groups upon request. Bratislava Jewish heritage tours are also available.

Educational program

Our educational program, Jewish Heritage in Bratislava, was launched in 2013 in cooperation with the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. The program focuses on secondary schools and consists of four components: two classroom seminars with our lecturer, a seminar at the museum and a visit to the Chatam Sofer Memorial. You can download the associated educational materials (in Slovak) here.

Lecturers

We have been organizing a program of evening public lectures since 2013. After two editions of Opening the Doors at the synagogue, we currently run this program under the auspices of the Jewish Cultural Institute. Interesting lecturers from Slovakia and abroad present various themes from Jewish religion and culture. You can download the current program (in Slovak) here.
